Who lives out there!? I’ve love to visit all of you! :)
AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I’M SO EXCITED!!!!!!! Where should I go?!?!?!! What should I see?! There’s so many places, I don’t even know where to start!
Felt both of them. DID YOU?! I know I should’ve “duck and covered” but all I did was freeze and contemplate if it was really happening or it was all in my head. LOL. It wasn’t until AFTER that I started freaking out. Typical.
Anyway, I hope everyone who lives in the bay is alright! And hopefully the whole Rapture thing doesn’t come true or another Loma Prieta comes along… speaking of, the 22nd Anniversary of the Loma Prieta was three days ago. And weirdly enough, earlier was California’s ShakeOut earthquake preparedness drill. I even got a text in the morning saying, "Drop, cover and hold on!" which pretty much freaked me out after earthquake numero uno.
I hope this is the last earthquake for the rest of the year. I kind of expect a lot next year considering it’s 2012- the end of the world, you know? I’m kidding. Calm down.
Love you all. Good night.
”When people hurt you over and over, think of them like a sand paper. They may scratch and hurt you a bit but in the end, you end up polished and they end up useless.” - Chris Colfer
I know only two people donated, but they mean so much… yes, I am crying happy tears! $1 or $100, I don’t even care, that is so much more than enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you. The fact that you would help a complete stranger reach her goal is so amazing. I don’t even know what else to say. I am beyond grateful, honestly. And to even the people who ‘liked’ that post, thank you. The walkathon is on Saturday morning and I registered late. I was super paranoid about not raising enough money. But much love and appreciation to Katrina Bresse and Amanda Billy!<3 You are so kind and wonderful people. Your donation and kind words of encouragement are deeply appreciated. If anyone else would like to see my page or donate, please go here.
I am writing you today to tell you about an upcoming event that I am participating in that is both very important and very exciting to me. This walkathon means so much to me because NAMI has helped me through such dark times this past year. Many of you probably don’t even know that I have with certain mental illnesses and use self harm as a coping mechanism. I have been struggling with both for about seven years now. I have never in my life done anything like this, but I am asking you all to please help me along the way.
I would like to ask you to come and walk with me or to donate to support my participation in this great event. Visit my personal walker page to sign up: http://www.nami.org/namiwalks11/SAC/shells. It features a link to my team’s page where you can see who else is walking with me. There is also a link so you can donate directly to me online. Donating online is fast and secure, and I’ll get immediate notification via e-mail of your donation.
The goals of the NAMIWalks program are: to fight the stigma that surrounds mental illness, to build awareness of the fact that the mental health system in this country needs to be improved, and to raise funds for NAMI so that they can continue their mission.
NAMI is a 501(c)3 charity and any donation you make to support my participation in this event is tax deductible. NAMI has been rated by Worth magazine as among the top 100 charities “most likely to save the world” and has been given an “A” rating by The American Institute of Philanthropy for efficient and effective use of charitable dollars.
Thank you in advance for your support.
