“When the Japanese mend broken objects, they aggrandize the damage by filling the cracks with gold. They believe that when something’s suffered damage and has a history, it becomes more beautiful.”—Barbara Bloom
Hey now. I didn't say it wasn't funny lol. But I appreciate you acknowledging it was uncalled for.
As to my debates, well, it's in my blood (I'm half Greek) lol. I personally love to challenge peoples ideas and thoughts, it's a great way to learn, in my humble opinion.
And you're right, you probably could find a room full of people to support you. Way to call my emotional appeal out for what it was. You're obviously quite sharp ; )
Thanks for the complement on my pic! ; )
Oh and BTW I just wanted to make sure I had some word of defense after that guy calling me out, just so you know haha.
Wow. And just when I assumed you didn’t have a funny bone in your body… I’m kidding! But I do appreciate you appreciating me for acknowledging it. (Get it?!)
Half greek, huh? Interesting. This is random, but I have always wanted to go to Greece. I will! One day, some day… soon! Baha. Have you ever been there?
You love challenging people’s ideas and thoughts, eh? You call it challenges, I call it arguments! LOL. That’s cool, though. Whatever floats your boat! I, personally, don’t like challenging other people’s ideas and thoughts unless it’s about something I hold close to my heart and feel very strongly about. But yes, I will agree with you that it is a great way to learn. I assume it can be frustrating at times. But I suppose if you keep an open mind, it doesn’t have to be.
Sharp? Ha, maybe. I think I’m just really blunt and sarcastic :).
Your’re welcome on the compliment! I understand why you wrote back. I assumed you would! Haha. I probably would’ve done the same thing.
I'd debate with your other "questioner" but I'd rather not have to detail what exactly about your post is grotesque. I'm sure I could find a room full of people who would agree with me on that. Perhaps not on Tumblr, but in real life. : )
I’m sure you would love to debate with that unknown “questioner”. I’ve been to your page a few times and noticed that you have debated with a few people already. Maybe more. Sorry, I don’t keep count. And yes, I’m sure you can find a room full of people who would agree with you that what I said was grotesque.
And I’m sure I could find a room full of people who would agree with me that it was pretty f’ing hilarious. Uncalled for, yes. But hilarious nonetheless.
Oh, and hey cool shades in your icon or picture box thingy majigger whatever it is :).
I definitely agree with lukenif that we should all take the high road, but what's so "grotesque" about a few well placed obscenities? So "dissing" someone is better than using "fucked" to add emphasis to emotion? I think our fear of language is getting a bit out of hand. These words mean nothing "grotesque" unless you consider sex an act of extreme horror (or unless you're referring to some other "grotesque" use of .language I failed to notice)
Hey, I totally agree with you, you're totally justified in being angry and cursing that nut girl out over this Haiti thing. But let's try to take the high ground okay? No need to break out your explicit dictionary. Uncalled for. You can diss her all you want but let's try not to get grotesque.
LOL! Grotesque… sounds funny when I say it :).
Mm. Now that I think about it, I did stoop down to her level and was a just a wee bit immature. Oh well! All is said and done and I will not apologize. Trust me, that was probably the nicest thing I said. I could’ve done a lot worse and wanted to, in all honesty. Like I said, I could’ve ripped her to shreds. On the internet. Baha.
I’m a sarcastic and snarky, “little” bitch ;). Nice most of the time, though. Promise :). But I do have my moments where I curse like a sailor and say things that are grotesque and very inappropiate. Usually when I’m with my cousins, though. No one seems to really get my uncalled, silly and sarcastic humor. Taha. Oh well.
But hey, thanks for agreeing with me and also letting me know that I should take the high road. I do agree with you on that. Whoo!
I could put this seventeen year old girl on blast and let her feel Tumblr's wrath, but I'm too nice for that ;).
So, the same girl who said to “stfu” [shut the fuck up] about Haiti because she “dgaf” [doesn’t give a fuck] is now telling everyone to shut up because it’s her opinion and that “it’s true, nobody fucking cares” about Haiti.
Oh, you silly, little bitch… I could rip you to shreds. On the internet. I know, I’m ”so” badass. BAHA! -__- Heartless, heartless, heartless. What is up your ass, sweetie? Really? Did your boyfriend stick his dick up there and forgot to pull it out? Seriously, what the fuck is your problem???
Basically, you would not be saying that if you were in their position. Not at all. If you didn’t want to hear about Haiti so much, don’t watch the news, don’t listen in on people talking about it, don’t read people’s posts about it, and just keep your pretty, little mouth shut because you really do not know shit.
You have never been in their position and most likely will never be. Consider yourself lucky. My god, be grateful! And if not that, have heart. Have you no heart? No compassion? No feelings whatsoever?
Yes, it is your opinion. A really sad one at that, honestly… Well, here’s my take on what you said. To each their own, really. But seriously, people like you do not make this world any better. It’s such a shame for you or anyone at any age to be saying such horrible things like that.
Treat people the way you want to be treated. Or in this case, treat countries the way you want your country to be treated.
I like putting people on blast when I feel like they deserve it...
So to all you ignorant, selfish, ungrateful, pessimistic, heartless, soulless, and careless people: If you are ever in a horrible situation and may need a lot of help from people, sympathy, kind words or maybe even a few money, remember what you said about the situation on Haiti and then you will know why no one will want to help you.
Telling people to “stfu” [shut the fuck up] about Haiti and that you “dgaf” [don’t give a fuck] is so immature and… My god, just heartless. Shame on you. SHAME ON YOU! The world is not a bad and evil place. It’s people like you living in it!
“We are taught you must blame your father, your sisters, your brothers, the school, the teachers — you can blame anyone but never blame yourself. It’s never your fault. But it’s always your fault, because if you wanted to change, you’re the one who has got to change. It’s as simple as that, isn’t it?”—Katherine Hepburn
“Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away.”—Hitch
LittleMiss , what would you do if you know you're gonna get your heart broken?
Well, it depends on the situation and person… No one likes getting their heart broken. I sure as hell don’t! So, what do I do? Protect my heart.
Then again, you do what you can. Sometimes, you fall even when you know you shouldn’t and you know it’s going to hurt. Bad! And sometimes, in the end, despite the broken heart, it was worth it. The important thing is learning from it and moving on. Sure, you may be a little hurt. But, in the end you have to remember that you’re stong and amazing and beautiful and smart and you will love again.
No matter how hard it may seem at that time, no matter how broken your heart is, it will get better. Just have faith and hope. Keep love in your heart, always. Drive out the fear and bitterness- they will only make you hurt more.
Do any of the quotes you post mean anything to you?
They mean everything to me. Really. Y’all have no idea. Every quote means something to me- which is why I post it in the first place :).
I don’t even think any one knows this, but a lot of the quotes that I’ve read and kept with me all these years really saved my life… They have literally changed my life in the most profound and amazing way. I hope they change your lives, too. For the better, of course!
LAST month, advocates and opponents of same-sex marriage packed the New Jersey State House in Trenton, supporters in blue, opponents in red. Near the end of the day, Kasey Nicholson-McFadden took the microphone. “It doesn’t bother me to tell kids my parents are gay,” he said in a clear voice. “It does bother me to say they aren’t married. It makes me feel that our family is less than their family.” Kasey is 10 years old. When the New Jersey State Senate voted against same-sex marriage on Jan. 7, he was devastated. -Full article here.
